Distinguished Investigator Award

Recognition of a Distinguished Investigator who has made an outstanding contribution to rheumatology internationally. The candidate must be a CRA member in good standing who has significantly furthered rheumatology research in Canada through the development of a major research program; who displays innovation in their work; and who has produced a significant body of research publications.

Scoring criteria (all criteria are scored out of 10):

1. Development of major research program
2. Innovation
3. Research productivity
4. Overall contribution to rheumatology internationally

Scores can be mathematically averaged. High scores in all criteria are necessary to win award.

The award consists of a $2,500.00 cheque and a framed certificate.
