Recognition of a distinguished rheumatologist who had made an outstanding contribution to rheumatology in Canada. The candidate must be a CRA member in good standing, and an accomplished Canadian rheumatologist of high professional calibre who has significantly furthered rheumatology in Canada in one or more of the following areas:
The award consists of a $5,000.00 cheque and a framed certificate.
Recognition of a distinguished investigator who has made an outstanding contribution to rheumatology in Canada. The candidate must be a CRA member in good standing, and an accomplished Canadian rheumatologist of high professional calibre who has significantly furthered rheumatology research in Canada through the development of a major research program, innovative and significant research activity.
The award consists of a $2,500.00 cheque and a framed certificate.
Recognition to a rheumatologist who has made an outstanding contribution to rheumatology teaching and/or education in Canada through excellence above and beyond that expected in his/her usual job description. The candidate must be a CRA member in good standing, and an accomplished Canadian rheumatologist of high professional calibre who has significantly furthered rheumatology education in Canada in one or more of the following areas:
The scope of the teaching/education activity can be aimed at the local, regional or national level without prejudice, community or university-based and can impact on teaching/education at the lay, undergraduate, postgraduate or CME levels within rheumatology and the related allied health professions.
The award consists of a $2,500.00 cheque and a framed certificate.
Recognition of a young Canadian investigator who has contributed significant, original research in rheumatology. The candidate must be a CRA member in good standing, must be no more than 7 years after being established as an independent investigator who has performed outstanding, landmark, original research (clinical or basic science) in rheumatology as judged by peers and citations.
The award consists of a $2,500.00 cheque and a framed certificate.
The award is given to the Fellow or Resident giving the best clinical presentation given at the annual CRA Annual Scientific Meeting. The decision is made by the Canadian Rheumatology Association.
The award consists of a $1,000.00 cheque and a certificate.
This prize is awarded for the best paper presented at the CRA Annual Scientific Meeting on the subject of Systemic Lupus Erythemetosus. The award is sponsored by the Lupus Society of Alberta.
The award consists of a $1,000.00 cheque and a certificate.
This Prize is awarded to a Fellow by competition, for a paper on Basic Science presented at the CRA Annual Scientific Meeting.
The award consists of a $1,000.00 cheque and a certificate.
This Prize is awarded for the best overall paper presented at the CRA Annual Scientific Meeting.
The award consists of a $1,000.00 cheque and a certificate.
This Prize is awarded for the best paper presented at the CRA Annual Scientific Meeting by an undergraduate student.
The award consists of a $1,000.00 cheque and a certificate. The current sponsor of the award is the Arthritis Research Centre of Canada (ARC). The award will not be given if a suitable abstract is not found.

La reconnaissance d’un rhumatologue dont la contribution en rhumatologie à l’échelle nationale est exceptionnelle. Le candidat ou la candidate doit être membre en règle de la SCR. Être un rhumatologue canadien accompli, de calibre professionnel élevé, ayant contribué de manière significative à l’avancement de la rhumatologie au Canada, plus particulièrement dans la mise sur pied d’un programme de recherche majeur et d’une activité de recherche innovatrice et significative.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 2 500,00 $ et un certificat encadré.
La reconnaissance d’un chercheur émérite qui a apporté une contribution exceptionnelle à la formation en rhumatologie au Canada, à un niveau d'excellence qui dépasse le cadre régulier de sa description de poste. Le candidat ou la candidate doit être membre en règle de la SCR et rhumatologue canadien accompli de haut niveau professionnel, ayant contribué à faire avancer la formation au Canada dans un ou plusieurs des secteurs suivants :
Les activités liées à l'enseignement qui seront reconnues par ce prix peuvent se dérouler sur la scène locale, régionale ou nationale, sans aucun préjudice, dans un contexte universitaire ou communautaire, et s'adresser à un auditoire profane, de premier, deuxième ou troisième cycle universitaire, ou de formation médicale continue au sein de la communauté de rhumatologie ou des professions paramédicales pertinentes.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 2 500,00 $ et un certificat encadré.
La reconnaissance d’un jeune chercheur canadien qui s'est démarqué pour ses travaux de recherche importants et innovateurs en rhumatologie. Le candidat ou la candidate doit être membre en règle de la SCR, et ne pas être établi depuis plus de sept ans à titre de chercheur indépendant ayant réalisé des travaux (en sciences cliniques ou fondamentales) cités et jugés remarquables, déterminants et originaux par ses pairs.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 2 500,00 $ et un certificat encadré.
Ce prix est décerné au membre ou au résident ayant fait la meilleure présentation clinique durant la réunion annuelle de la SCR. La décision est prise par la Société canadienne de rhumatologie.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 1 000,00 $ et un certificat.
Ce prix est décerné pour le meilleur article présenté durant l’assemblée générale annuelle de la SCR, sur le sujet du lupus érythémateux disséminé. Le prix est commandité par la Lupus Society of Alberta.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 1 000,00 $ et un certificat.
Ce prix est décerné à un associé dans le cadre d’une compétition pour une présentation portant sur les sciences fondamentales, faite durant la réunion annuelle de la SCR.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 1 000,00 $ et un certificat.
Ce prix est décerné pour la meilleure présentation faite durant l’assemblée générale annuelle de la SCR.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 1 000,00 $ et un certificat.
Ce prix est décerné à l'auteur du meilleur article présenté par un étudiant de premier cycle durant l’assemblée générale annuelle de la SCR.
Le prix consistera en un chèque de 1 000,00 $ et un certificat, remis par le commanditaire, qui est, à l'heure actuelle, l’Arthritis Research Centre of Canada. (Le prix ne sera pas accordé si aucun résumé n'est jugé méritoire.)
