Teacher – Educator Award

This competition is closed. 

Recognition to a rheumatologist who has made an outstanding contribution to rheumatology teaching and/or education in Canada through excellence above and beyond that expected in his/her usual job description. The candidate must be a CRA member in good standing, and an accomplished Canadian rheumatologist of high professional calibre who has significantly furthered rheumatology education in Canada in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Teaching: passion, commitment and skill in delivering clear and relevant, evidence based information in a variety of settings, being a positive role model in role of teaching.
  2. Education: curriculum development, implementation and/or evaluation.

The scope of the teaching/education activity can be aimed at the local, regional or national level without prejudice, community or university-based and can impact on teaching/education at the lay, undergraduate, postgraduate or CME levels within rheumatology and the related allied health professions.

The award consists of a $2,500.00 cheque and a framed certificate.
