Nos travaux de recherche démontrent l’importance d’utiliser l’IRM aux tout premiers stades de la polyarthrite rhumatoïde, car elle met plus rapidement au jour les érosions comparativement à la radiographie. Nous avons démontré le degré des changements observés à la radiographie et à l’IRM pour confirmer que de réels changements étaient survenus. Finalement, nous avons testé un nouveau logiciel mis au point pour mesurer la taille des érosions et un autre logiciel pour évaluer la texture observée à la radiographie afin de la corréler avec la présence d’érosions.
