CRA Consensus Statement on the Best Practices for Virtual Care in Rheumatology
Virtual care is an emerging term adopted by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) as “any interaction between patients and/or members of their circle of care, occurring remotely, using any forms of communication or information technologies with the aim of facilitating or maximizing the quality and effectiveness of patient care”…
In addition to the Consensus Statement, you can download an infographic suitable for use in a Powerpoint presentation.
Rheumatologists across the country are at various stages in navigating a return to in-person patient care. The Transitioning Care Ad-Hoc Committee has built a framework around the patient’s journey through a clinical encounter to serve as an anchor in this rapidly evolving, data-poor context. We invite you to engage with this “living” document, which provides a valuable framework of considerations and recommendations for both the patient and rheumatologist/staff on how to safely transition to in-person patient care. For our CRA Members, links with the pdf will give you access to additional resources and topics for discussion on our private Members’ COVID-19 Discussion Forum.
